Summer
We have decided to homeschool lightly through the summer so they don't lose so much from a long break and I don't have to spend a month in review at the beginning of the next school year. We plan on teaching 1-3 days per week throughout the summer months and only a few subjects on those days instead of a fully loaded school day. We will be taking a week completely off in June for the Ichthus Festival that we attend annually and a week completely off in July during our family reunion time. Do any of you homeschool through the summer? why or why not? feel free to post your comments! :)

Yep, Jennifer, we are doing school this summer, too. :^) We finished our last core (MFW Adventures) on May 14 and then took two weeks totally off. We started back on June 1 - but with a much lighter schedule than usual (and no MFW stuff for now - just 3Rs and a few "enrichment" things). Summer session will go through July 9, after which we have VBC and our family vacation. Because we generally go six-weeks-on and one-week-off during the school year, we'll start MFW ECC on August 2 (but I'll make accommodations if summer fun things come up that month!). :^)
That's Great!!! I can't wait to get my ECC and AH&L from MFW. I haven't been able to order mine yet, I am so jealous (in a loving way lol) that you have started receiving your curriculum already!
